Outspoken, defiant and courageous during the Soviet emigré movement of the 1980’s, Furman survived a KGB murder attempt, a harrowing journey to freedom and went on to become a resettlement official in Israel.
Today, Furman is the executive director at the Jewish National Fund in Philadelphia, and will share her powerful story at Chabad at the Shore’s community Shabbat Dinner on Friday, August 17th.
