Experience an authentic Chassidic Jewish community in an up-close and personal way. Chabad at the Shore is organizing a Trip to the Chassidic Community of Crown Heights in Brooklyn, NY.
Both moving and educational, this tour will open your eyes to this richly diverse community and take you to sites not generally accessible to the public.
Participants will visit Ohel Lubavitch – The Resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, enjoy a walking tour of the streets of Crown Heights, including 770 – Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters and the Rebbes Library. Additionally there will be time to shop at Judaica, book & clothing shops, view a Chassidic art gallery, enjoy traditional NY Kosher Restaurants.
The community of Crown Heights was recently featured on the Oprah Whinfrey Show.
The cost of the trip is $40 and it includes van transportation, tour and lunch.
The trip will depart 8am and return between 8 and 9pm.
