It is customary to visit graves of loved ones in the period leading up to or in between the High
Holy Days – or to visit a cemetery in the community in which you live, as a catalyst for
remembering those buried far away. For the first time this year, we offer such a memorial
service at our synagogue cemetery. Even if your own loved ones are buried elsewhere, come
and connect with the history and stories of generations who shaped Beth Israel into the
community it is today. And take a moment, if you choose to do so, to share memories of those
who are in your heart.
