What do we mean when we say that we are seeing a rise in antisemitism and hate today in the United States? Join Andrea Heymann, Associate Regional Director of ADL Philadelphia, who will provide a breakdown of ADL’s 2020 Audit on Antisemitic Incidents, address other forms of bigotry and extremism that have been on the rise recently and share useful ways on how you can be proactive in a world of increasing tension and prejudice.
Andrea works to accomplish ADL’s mission – “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all” – in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. Prior to joining ADL in 2018, she was the Assistant Director of the Jewish Graduate Student Network in Philadelphia. Andrea has an M.A. in Holocaust & Genocide Studies from Stockton University and a B.A. in History from Goucher College. She currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Jewish Community Relations Council of Southern New Jersey.

The Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers University is excited to launch on October 21. The exhibit, “Jewish Agriculturalism in the Garden State,” was developed by our Visiting Scholar Jonathan Dekel-Chen and focuses on the rich, but little-known, history of Jewish farming in New Jersey. Professor Dekel-Chen will introduce the new exhibit at an online talk on October 21 at 1 pm.
