The ArtsPower National Touring Theatre’s production of My Heart in a Suitcase, based on the autobiography written by Kindertransport survivor Anne Lehmann Fox, will be presented at The Milton & Betty Katz JCC on Wednesday, May 22 The one-hour performance will start at 1:00 PM
Life in 1938 Germany is deteriorating quickly for the Lehmanns and Jews throughout the country. In order to protect their daughter, the Lehmanns may have to say goodbye to her forever, and Anne must struggle to bring meaning out of despair as she clings to love and hope even in a world that seems to be filled with hatred and violence.
This gripping and poignant production about Anne’s family’s decision to send her
on the Kindertransport is a tribute to the strength of the human spirit and the enduring power of a family’s love.
