Lane Johnson, offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, will be invited to speak to our community at the Milton & Betty Katz JCC at 10AM on July 24, 2022. The event will include a kosher breakfast and will be an introduction to the initiative’s future men’s health programs.

Johnson has been named to the Pro Bowl three times. He was a first-team All-Pro when he helped the Eagles win their first Super Bowl Championship in franchise history. All of these accomplishments came after Johnson was selected fourth overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. In late 2021, Johnson stepped off the field on October 3rd to attend to a “personal matter” and didn’t rejoin the team until October 18th, when he revealed his longtime struggle with depression and anxiety. He now uses his public platform to discuss men’s mental health issues, helping to diminish the stigma of psychological treatment including medication.

More details will be forthcoming. Sponsorships are available; please contact Rachel Waldman, Jewish Federation Assistant Director, for more information ([email protected]).
